David D. Harrell, M.D.

While in medical school, I rotated through several ophthalmology practices and quickly discovered that it was the area of medicine that I most enjoyed. I loved the way in which the eye reflected the health of the rest of the body, the amazing advances in laser and cataract eye surgery, and the relationships built over time with both geriatric and pediatric patients. After a medical internship and a stint as a general practitioner, I pursued an ophthalmology residency. After three years in practice in Missouri, I returned with my family to my wife's childhood home of West Michigan where I have spent from the summer of 1996 until the present with Creekside Vision & Hearing.
